Sean and his team have been excellent at all stages of
the process.
Property viewing.
We arranged to spend a day looking at properities. This was really
just to get a sense of what was available at different prices. Even
knowing that we were unlikely to buy, Sean still devoted a long day to
us - taking us from place to place. As well as being great company he
gave us a lot of useful local information. It was the final property
that capured our hearts and imagination and we had to put an offer in -
despite us saying that we were "only looking". An important part of
the process for us was that there was no pressure selling. If anything
the reverse happened - Sean urged us to take time to ensure that we
were happy with our decision. 18 months on and we think it is one of
the best decisions we have made.
The purchase process
It is a little more complicated buying in Spain than in England.
However, we were hand held through all stages. Costs and timings were
clear from the start. We were told in advance what we would need to
bring, why it was needed and what we would have to do on the day.
There were no nasty surprises. What could have been daunting was
actually pleasant. Sean took on all the burden of ferrying us from
office to office making sure that we got everywhere on time.
Support afterwards
Life in Spain is different to the UK and we deliberately chose
somewhere with very little English presence. SIP gave us a contact
point in case we were struggling with anything. We have had to call on
that support a couple of times - once when dealng with the town hall
for example. Prompt, clear answers meant that we were able to deal
with things easily. We feel worry free.
If you decide to go through SIP, I hope that you find the experience as
friendly, helpful and hassle free as we did and that you buy a property
that gives you at least as much pleasure as our does."
